PF IS INTACT - KABIMBA

Patriotic Front Secretary General Winter Kabimba has refuted media reports alleging that leadership wrangles among the Patriotic Front Party Members in Kalulushi District on the Copperbelt have deepened.

Mr. Kabimba however, admitted that some leadership wrangles that have  besieged the party in the area are due to lack of following administrative procedures by some  members of the party who are currently on suspension.
Speaking to ZANIS  in Lusaka today, Mr. Kabimba said he has since instructed the provincial leadership on the Copperbelt to ensure that leadership wrangles is Kalulushi district are sorted out once and for all for the benefit of the party.

Mr. Kabimba also advised party members serving some suspension  to follow the party procedure in attending to disciplinary cases they are currently serving for the sake maintaining unity in the district.

He said yesterday, he wrote to provincial administration in Ndola  so that they  write to  those involved informing them of the action which they should  follow if their grievances are to be addressed as quickly as possible.

However, some party  officials at Provincial, District and ward levels in the district have  accused  Kalulushi  District Chair lady Mrs. Kampamba Mulenga   of causing confusion in the district.

They say the  District Chair lady is working with some few provincial leaders at the province  to accuse some party members whom they think  are a threat to them  of fueling confusion in the party.

And when contacted for comment, Mrs. Kampamba Mulenga denied the accusation  leveled against her saying they are baseless.

She said as far she was concerned, there were no wrangles of that magnitude in the area.

She  added that although the party had minor differences which might see some  party member defecting to other political parties in Kalulushi , the party is capable of solving it's problems without difficulties.

The PF in Kalulushi District has been engulfed in leadership wrangles which has seen the party loosing support at an alarming rate especially at the grassroots.
