MMD SUFFERS MORE DEFECTIONS

Former Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) Copperbelt Treasurer Friday Sikazwe has resigned from the Party to join the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) and has appealed to Zambians to give President Michael Sata chance to fulfil his promises.
In  a statement made available to ZANIS in Kitwe today, Mr Sikazwe attributed his decision to poor leadership in the opposition MMD stating that it had side lined him for a long time.
Mr Sikazwe said it was prudent for him to resign from MMD to join the ruling PF and contribute to Government because of its progressive ideas.
He said with the experience acquired it was important that he joined a more progressive leadership like the PF.
Mr Sikazwe said his resignation had nothing to do with the others who have already ditched the MMD.
He said he was convinced that the new Government had a vision to make a difference to the Zambian people within 90 days.
