A 45 year old businessman of
Shikoswe compound in Kafue district appeared in Lundazi magistrate court
charged for aggravated robbery and murder contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Appearing before Magistrate
Miltone Nyirenda was Nota Chimbwe of Kafue district in Lusaka province facing
two charges.
Facts before the court were that
Nota Chimbwe between 16th and 17th February 2012 whilst
jointly acting together with unknown persons ,armed with an unknown fire arms
did steal K603,874,000 cash from Charles Nyirenda and a Sumsung GT phone worth
K3,000,000 from Bux Jabir Ali contrary to section 294 sub section 1, cap 97 of
the laws of Zambia.
In the second count Nota Chimbwe
is also accused of murdering Charles Nyirenda aged 60 a security guard of Bux
Jabir Ali contrary to section 200 cap 87 of the laws of Zambia.
And Lundazi Magistrate Nyirenda
has since adjourned the matter to 17th April 2012 for another
mention.
Nota Chimbwe is remained in
Lundazi police custody.
